No Nomad.

Hailing from Boorloo (Perth), No Nomad formed in 2018 and the 6-piece have since crafted a dynamic blend of soul, jazz, and alternative sounds as their own.

Following debut single Find Some Friends, the band released their first EP Kayak in 2019 to local and critical acclaim. 2020 saw them hone-in with double Subterrain / Arctic Beauty Kiwi, also the first release on Rockton Records.

After a session at Poons Head Studios in Fremantle in January 2021, the band stepped up again with their latest release Ghost/I Get Scared, crafted with raw verve and ethereal energy.

Sold out headline shows and notable support sets across Perth and southwest venues have forged an engaged following amongst WA’s thriving local scene. The high praise has earned them spots at Fairbridge Festival, with their 2021 set being a festival highlight, WAMFest (2019, 2021), and Perth Festival.

From murky waters of influence, the band take inspiration from the likes of Stereolab, Portishead, BADBADNOTGOOD, Nina Simone, and King Krule among many, many more.

Keeping things tight-knit since their inception, the band values a DIY approach to recording, artwork, and collaboration.

No Nomad’s music has gained huge love from community radio around Australia, Triple J airplay on Roots N’ All and Home & Hosed, and has been reviewed in Pilerats, Meyame, Are We Live, Isolated Nation, GROK, and more.
