“"It was a really big experience writing this track. It's deeply self-reflective, as most of the album is. I wanted to not just tell a story, but question the alternative outcomes that could have taken place in my life, if my twin had evolved along with me. It's not even a sad song for me, it's more explaining a massive part of me. It's a constant wonder that I have and will always have.

When I was younger and playing under 'Spencer Arbuckle', two people that really welcomed me into the Perth scene were Jordan and Beth. So I've always wanted to one day work with them on something...and that's Madeleine."

“Gia Como delivering the most interesting bit of gothic synth pop you'll hear all day. I mean, you might not be listening to heaps of that very niche sound but you'll want to after this charming track.”

— Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J

“Oh yesss this one got me good. the swirling darkness, the dual vocals, the mix of something stylish but a bit sinister - it all adds up just right.”

— Declan Byrne, Triple J
